Are there Aliens, Who are they? What are they? Where did they come from? Where you kidnapped and put back? Is there anything for or against their existence in scripture? Give us your thoughts.
I haven't a clue go ask God. I'm open minded on this topic and have not come down on one side or the other on this issue. Drake you take it: Drake Equation. This is an equation but i believe God creates life not equations. But God creates the equation for life. Arrrg I pass.
This boils down to the image of God question- I think that the first thing that would happen if we discovered aliens would be evangelists building space ships and launching off to take the word where it needs to be. But that jumps to my conclusion- why are we to take the message to anyone- beyond because Christ told us to? Humans have to have the word preached to them so they can accept God as thier savior, their sacrifice to free them from a broken universe. If aliens have the capacity to sin, they would indicate their brokenness and their need for Christ's sacrifice as well. So we'd better head for the stars! But all of this is opinion- I'll hit the Bible for spcific references.
There is no evidence in scripture per say, but there are examples in church history. There were entire civilizations that formed, for a time thrived, and then died all without any knowledge of the gospel. So if God has allowed and I must assume planned for these civilizations to exist then should we find alien civilizations thriving or in ruins there really is nothing more profound about aliens then there was when Europe "found" the new world. Mark 15:16 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. I would say Jim's photo qualifies as a creature!
I think one Must Expand one's Definition of " Alien ". Posit: A Trans Corporeal Poly Dimensional Being who (by Their Very Nature) can Move Through Time/Space as easily as we pass between rooms of a building. Angels... and Things Not Dreamed of in my Philosophy.
